श्री कृष्ण के जीवन में श्रीराधा का क्या स्थान है ये वही जानते हैं जो श्रीराधा को जानते हैं, भजते हैं। शास्त्रों में श्रीराधा का नाम लेने के पश्चात ही कृष्ण कहने को कहा गया है। जो ऐसा नहीं करता तो वह पाप का भागीदार बनता है। ऐसा ब्रह्मवैवर्त पुराण के दूसरे भाग के कृष्णजन्म खण्ड के (१२४) अध्याय में कहा गया है। प्रलये ब्रह्मणः पाते तन्निमेषो हरेरपि। आदौ राधां समुच्चार्य पश्चात्कृष्णं परात्परम्॥९॥ जब इस सृष्टि का जन्म भी नहीं हुआ था, कोई सूर्य-चन्द्रमा नहीं थे, कोई ब्रह्मा जी नहीं थे, कोई वायु नहीं थी, कहीं जल नहीं था तब भी श्रीराधा श्रीकृष्ण के संग थीं, ऐसा पुराणों में बताया गया है। जब पृथ्वी पर श्रीकृष्ण ने जन्म लिया तो श्रीराधा ने भी उन्हीं के संग धरती पर वृषभानु जी के यहाँ पर जन्म लिया। वे श्रीकृष्ण के संग वृंदावन में साथ ही लीलाएं करती दिखती हैं, ये भी कई पुराणों में वर्णित है। प्रश्न है कि जब भगवान श्रीकृष्ण इस धरती पर दुष्ट आत्माओं को समाप्त करने के लिए मथुरा, वृंदावन, द्वारका, इन्द्रप्रस्थ और कुरूक्षेत्र इत्यादि में धूम रहे थे तो श्रीराधा उनसे दूर बैठी श्रीकृष्ण से दूर रह...
